1-minute exercises – sounds too good to be true, right? If you’re trying to lose weight, I’m not going to tell you that one minute of exercising is truly going to get you to that goal. What I do know, though, is that a) you have to start somewhere and b) if you have no time, then knowing you can fit in a minute here and a minute there is better than nothing.
So this week on Working (Out) Mama on The Stir, I’m giving mamas a few ideas for sneaking in a minute of high intensity exercise during the day. Where did the idea come from? A study published this month in the American Journal of Health Promotion, which shows when it comes to preventing weight gain, it’s the intensity of the exercise that really matters, not necessarily the duration. In short – every minute counts.
