8 Quotes for the New Year

Happy New Year, my friends! I hope your celebrations were fun and you have big plans for the next 12 months. And if your celebrations were a little too fun, I hope there’s a lot of coffee in your immediate future.

I love the first day of a new year. I know it’s just a date on the calendar, but the idea of a whole new year ahead is so enticing. It feels like anything is possible all over again. I shared my goals for the year with you earlier this week and I’m excited to see what 2016 has in store. We even get one extra day this year, since it’s a leap year. That also means it’s a Summer Olympics year, woo hoo! So crazy to think that the last time the Olympics were on, my big boy was a tiny baby. The last four years have flown by, yet so much has happened. You really don’t comprehend that phrase about parenting, ‘the days are long, but the years are short’, until you have your own children.

Just in case you’re not feeling as inspired by January 1 as I am, I thought I’d share with you these quotes for the new year. Dream big, work hard and may 2016 be wonderful.

Happy New Year!

  1. The Neil Gaiman one is my favorite. Shivers!
I like the quotes. I like the clean slates. I don’t think of the new year as just another day. I think possibilities are endless, and it’s cool that we mark that with calendars!
