This week on Fit Mama Friday, I’m doing a special round up of just a few of the past fit mama features you may have missed!
Since my post this week on The Stir was all about mamas feeling guilty about working out, let’s revisit Emily T, a Fit Mama Friday from Australia. While she was in a great routine of working out regularly and consistently prior to pregnancy (and throughout her pregnancy), Emily struggled with the guilt of taking time for herself once her adorable little man Jedd was in her life.
Yesterday, I wrote a response to feedback I had on my CrossFit article last week. One of the main contributors to the debate was Natalie, a Fit Mama Friday from a few weeks back. I love Natalie’s story – she took her experience getting healthy after a sedentary job and turned it into a passionate career. Of course, her current workout love is CrossFit, and it’s obvious that it has changed her life for the better.
Fit Mama Estrella got a huge shock when she went for a physical not so long ago. Proud mama to two gorgeous boys, Estrella was horrified when her doctor opened her eyes to the impact her weight and lack of fitness was having on her health. Her commitment to changing her lifestyle so she can be around for a long time for her family is inspirational.
Another inspirational mama is Amy, who has been through not one but TWO hip reconstructions due to hip dysplasia, and is only in her early thirties. Nothing stops this amazing mama of Gracie – not debilitating pain, not surgeries, not divorce, not body image issues. She truly never gives up.
Honestly, I could just recap every single Fit Mama Friday since I started this series, back in February! All my fit mamas are inspirational to me and it’s a privilege to get an insight into their lives and why being fit and healthy is so important to them. Now that I’ve done this first Fit Mama Friday Round Up, it’s just made me realize I’m going to have to share these posts from time to time so I CAN go back and recap every awesome woman I’ve featured!
Who has been your favorite Fit Mama Friday?
Who inspires you to stay fit, or get fit?
Love the recap – I think that I’ve missed several of their stories – I will have to go back this weekend and read them!!!
I had fun selecting a few, but honestly, every single one of the women I’ve profiled have been inspiring! π
Love it! She’s such an inspiration. π
