Runner and mother of three Meg Cross Menzies was out for her morning run on Monday, when she was struck and killed by a drunk driver. Meg’s family have launched the #megsmiles campaign in order to bring awareness to the danger of driving under the influence. Join the running community in sharing the miles you run in Meg’s honor this Saturday, January 18 by tweeting, posting to Facebook, or Instagram, with the hashtag #megsmiles.
For more information, check out the Facebook group Meg’s family created.
I’ll be running in Meg’s honor this Saturday.Β
This is awful! I am so sad. I will be posting this on my blog and will be running in her honor. May her family find comfort and peace with her passing.
Thanks for sharing, Sara, I hope it gives her family comfort, too.

I only heard about this yesterday:( So sad, it’s amazing the support that has been made aware for her already though within the running/blogger world!

It’s been an amazing response, the running community is such a good group of people. Such a tragic story, my heart aches for her husband and children.
