My Monkey Turns Two (and a Pinterest Party!)

My baby boy is turning two this week. TWO!! It simultaneously feels like a couple of months and ten years ago that we welcomed Roman into our life. Even though he’ll always be my little baby, he is a full-on toddler now – there’s no denying how much he’s grown up. (Case in point: he actually answers to ‘Monkey’. I’m not kidding.)

No enormous party plans, but there will definitely be cupcakes and balloons involved. πŸ˜‰

And today, I’m joining in on a different kind of party – Lindsay is hosting a Pinterest party on her blog. I’ve put together five posts I would LOVE to have pinned and shared on Pinterest (you can follow me on Pinterest here) and I’ll also be checking out and pinning lots of posts from other bloggers participating! Head over to The Lean Green Bean to see the full round up of all the bloggers and their fave posts! These link ups are a great way to find new, awesome blogs to read. πŸ™‚

15 minute workout #1Three 15 Minute Workouts

I wrote these three workouts after a client told me she often only had a short amount of time for a workout on her own. She’d often skip a workout because she figured it wasn’t worthwhile unless she spent a full hour sweating.

SO not true!! It’s the quality, not the quantity of your exercise that counts and Β doing three 15 minute workouts in a week beats skipping working out because you ‘don’t have time’ – right?

Losing Sight of the JourneyLosing Sight of the Journey (or, what I’m learning from training for my second marathon)Β

Something I realized as I was training last year for my second marathon, was that the training experience was completely different when I wasn’t so focused on the end goal. How often do we think about what we want as a result, rather than enjoy the process and learn from that?

    1. Thanks Kim! 2 years old is fun 90% of the time – the other 10% is spent flailing on the floor yelling. πŸ˜‰
