I had less time than I thought at the gym yesterday when I went to complete my daily Elf for Health challenge – a Circuit Workout! Since I was running short on time, I powered through it at a really fast pace, so I definitely kept my heart rate elevated and kicked my own butt!
I love doing circuit workouts at the gym, especially if I’m doing resistance training for endurance. Yesterday’s workout was 2 sets of 20 reps for each circuit, with no rest between each exercise. I rested about 1 minute before moving on to the next circuit.
I’m loving coming up with a few new workouts for myself, just for fun, during this holiday challenge. Since I’m not training for anything specific right now and I’m still thinking about what my next goal will be, it’s been refreshing to just have fun at the gym and enjoy trying new combinations and exercises.
It’s also been fun to see what workouts all my fellow elves have been trying. You can search the hashtag #Elf4Health on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for some great workout inspiration for yourself! π
What’s your favorite way of strength training?
When was the last time you tried a new workout?
Looks like a lot of fun! I have been loving all the elf4health challenges. π Since I can’t run anymore, I have learned to love circuit workouts so I am totally pinning this workout to try later!

Yay! Thanks for pinning Deb! Let me know how it goes when you try it!!
This looks like a great workout, Carly! I need to get my booty in gear and start strength training again since I’m not training for a race right now. Circuit workouts never fail to jack up my heart rate and leave me sore the next day. Can’t wait to try this one out!

This is a good one to try while you and running are working out your differences. π
this definitely would kick my butt. Great job!
I did a circuit workout this am because yesterday was supposed to be yoga, but we had a storm so it got cancelled.

I use some of your 43s and 44s on myself and clients all the time! We really do need to work on that cocktail swap blog party, though!
