It’s fuh-reezing. Okay, today is better than the last couple of days, but it’s good to have a back-up plan when you can’t face running outside. So, here are a couple of treadmill workouts for you – short and sweet, so you can even incorporate them into a strength-training session at the gym:
Want more indoor workout ideas?
Did you see my post on Working (Out) Mama on The Stir with two winter workouts you can do in your living room?
Lots of the Elf for Health circuit workouts that Lindsay compiled can also be done indoors, whether you have weights or not – there’s 50 workouts here, so you won’t be stuck for choices!!
More treadmill workouts for you (a couple of these are BRUTAL, be warned!)
If you’ve only got 15 minutes at the gym, these workouts are for you.
Here’s another 15 minute HIIT workoutΒ from Purely Twins.
And a 30 minute pyramid treadmill run from Blondes Have More Run.
I think you’re covered now! Let me know if you try any of these! π
It’s been too damn cold to run outside in Waterloo since October! (at least of this island girl lol)
Thanks for the treadmill workout though…hopefully this will help me start back running again π

Ha ha ha, you must be DYING now if it felt cold in October!! Stay warm and yes, get indoors for this workout!
Great post! Especially since I was going to wake up early this morning and run but just didn’t have it in me to face the single digit temperatures. To the treadmill it is tonight!

There’s cold and then there’s just ridiculous! For the latter, the treadmill always wins!!
The temps warmed up enough yesterday for me to hit the trails. It was wonderful! Today I have limited time between meetings, so I’ll probably combine a dreadmill session with some strength training. Thanks for the great workouts to break up ‘mill boredom!

You’re most welcome! It’s so awesome when you can get outside for a run when you haven’t been out in a while. Rekindles the love of running!!
I’ve been on the treadmill way too much this winter already, but I’ve already had too many slips on the ice!

Better to be safe than out of commission with an injury from slipping, right?
You put together really great workouts. Thanks for that! The ice outside makes even walking an Olympic sport so it’s definitely going to be inside workouts for awhile.

Thanks Lauren! And you’re welcome. If I have to be on a treadmill, I much prefer having a workout to follow to make it more fun!
Hi Carly! -I’m back in the ‘blogsphere’! This workout suits me perfectly because down here it’s “too damn HOT to run outside” π I will probably do it tonight -air conditioning included π
And about this girl Alexa…how incredibly awesome are those pictures on the pole, ah?! I wish I could do that! Good for her!
Hope you’re doing fine!
Welcome back, Sil! π If you want any cold weather just let us know and we can send some down your way! π Yup, Alexa is amazing! I can’t imagine how strong she must be to do that!
