New York, New York.
I haven’t been back to the city since moving to Vermont from Brooklyn nearly a year and a half ago. But that’s changing today, when I hop on a plane and make a quick visit to my old home! I’m so excited to catch up with friends, as well as experience all the things I’ve been missing about NYC. My dear friend Jenny talked me into the trip (okay, she didn’t have to be too persuasive) when she booked her own flights for a work trip there from her new home in San Francisco.
So far plans include:
- At least one yoga class
- Running in Prospect Park and Central Park
- My old book club! Yay!
- Dinners/lunches/coffee with friends I haven’t seen in WAY too long
I already know I won’t get to see everyone I miss and love and I’ll leave without having been to a favorite cafe/museum/restaurant/store/neighborhood. I’m really curious to find out if I feel like a tourist back in my old city, or if I feel like a long-lost local again.
So, there won’t be much happening here on the blog this week, but come follow me on Instagram for LOTS of NYC pics and you can also connect with me on Facebook and Twitter, where I’ll be sharing some posts, workouts and running tips you may have missed!
Have you ever returned for a visit to somewhere you lived for a long time?
What would be on your NYC bucket list?
And now I must ask you a favor. If you see Christine give her a big ass hug from me
xoxo
