I’m a little behind in catching you up on my Working (Out) Mama posts over on The Stir! There are two you may have missed, so I’d love you to check them out. One is all about choosing a workout based on your personality type: The Secret to Picking the Best Workout for YOU. I’d love to hear whether you think I’m right about which workouts suit which personality types! Another you may have missed is The One Word That’s Ruining Your Workout. (I even argue that it doesn’t just ruin your workout, it might ruin someone else’s, as well).
Thank you all for such an amazing response on my plea for new submissions for Fit Mama Friday! Once again I have lots of amazing, fabulous fit mamas lined up for the next few months. Please don’t hesitate to nominate yourself or someone else, though – I’m always looking for fit mamas to feature! Tomorrow’s feature is Kylie – and hers is a great story. When I read what she sent to me, my mouth hung open with how much determination and effort she put into changing her life for her daughter’s sake. Please stop by tomorrow and leave Kylie some love! π
I don’t know about you guys, but I get behind on my blog reading, even occasionally missing some posts by my favorite bloggers.
That’s why I LOVE it every time Lindsay hosts a Pin It Party over at The Lean Green Bean. It’s a great way to see what my favorite bloggers (as well as some new-to-me blogs) considerΒ their five best recent posts.
If you’re a blogger, you should head over and link up a post with your five faves and pin some of the other bloggers’ posts while you’re there! π
The following are five recent posts which I’d really love to see shared like crazy on Pinterest! (You can follow me on Pinterest here). Here are 5 of my favorite posts to pin:
50 Easy Healthy Habits You Can Start Now.Β
Organized into four categories of MOVE, EAT, LIVE and LOVE, these are 50 small, easy habits you can start incorporating to make healthy changes to your lifestyle. Once you’ve nailed one of the habits, pick another to master and go from there!
The Best Exercises to Relieve Back Pain (psst: these work for pregnancy, too!)
Here are six exercises I’ve incorporated into programs for my personal training clients with chronic back pain, which also find their way into my pregnant clients workouts as well! π I was prompted to put this workout post together after I pulled a muscle in my back a couple of months ago and found myself using all of these to get back to pain-free movement.
Healthy Travel TipsΒ
Traveling can make it tougher to stick toΒ your normal workout schedule. Whether you have more time on your hands but are lost without your go-to fitness class, or you’re traveling for business and trying to squeeze your workout in, this is a round up of some great tips for staying healthy while traveling.
Β On Confidence (and surprising yourself!)
I wrote one of my freelance articles on the power of confidence for your workout and originally this was supposed to be a quick ‘hey-go-check-out-my-article’ post. But I just kept writing and it ended up being a really popular post on my blog – which totally proves my point that sometimes you need to push yourself a littleΒ and just see what happens. You never know if you can succeed unless you try.
Running Tips: Strength Training to be a Better Runner.Β
I love writing my Running Tips series and this installment on how to strength train to be a better runner is one of my favorites. You get a personal trainer and a runner’s perspective on what kinds of movements and exercises are the best ones to incorporate into your strength training when your priority is running.
Β Thanks for pinning, friends!
