Hydrate with FIJI Water – Giveaway!

I am not great at drinking enough water. I’m talking about suddenly realizing I am desperately thirsty and can’t remember the last time I had a glass of water. (If coffee counted as hydration, I would be aces.) Actually, the only time I am really on top of getting enough water is when I’m working out.

So when FIJI Water invited me to a spin class back in the summer in NYC, I was psyched to find out they were giving me a two-month supply of FIJI Water home delivery. Finally, maybe I would be better about drinking enough water throughout the day. And now, to make it even better, FIJI Water is offering one of my readers their own two-month supply of home delivery!

This is all to celebrate the launch of FIJI’s new 700 mL bottle, which has been specifically designed for an active lifestyle. That means it fits in your spin bike’s bottle holder and it fits in your gym bag water sleeve. Since the new bottle design is more compact, it will also fit easily into your car cup holders (something that would never have occurred to me before we left New York and got a car).

Why is Water So Important?

It lubricates your joints. That means that all those squats, lunges, running and yoga will feel better, because your joints will work more smoothly.

Water helps you eliminate waste. Everything in your body works better with water – you can avoid constipation and you’ll also be getting rid of waste through sweating. That’s important when you’re regularly working out, because the recovery process for your muscles is so reliant on efficient waste removal.

You need to replace water lost during your workout. Weigh yourself before and after your workout – there shouldn’t be a significant difference in your weight. If there is, you have most likely lost more water through sweating than you replenished.

How Much Water is Enough?

Forget the eight glasses a day. Drinking when you feel thirsty is a good rule of thumb, it turns out. The most important thing is to make sure your urine is a pale yellow color. If it’s dark, drink more water. If there’s no color, back off the hydration train, you may be overdoing it.

What’s So Good About FIJI Water?

FIJI Water is bottled at the source of an artesian aquifier that runs through volcanic rock, which means it gathers the electrolytes and minerals which gives it its soft, sooth taste (and makes it that much better for rehydrating when you’re working out). In fact, FIJI Water has significantly more naturally occurring electrolytes than other brands. Plus, the new bottle is pretty. πŸ™‚

  1. I drink a full glass first thing in the morning, before lunch, all throughout the afternoon and a full glass before dinner so I hope to get my 8 glass fulfillment in daily. Fiji water would be wonderful to carry with me all day long and bring to work too!

  2. I drink much more water since I gave up sofa a few years ago but it’s still probably not enough.

  3. I mainly drink water over any other beverage but I don’t think I always drink enough water.

  4. I could definitely afford to start drinking more water. I drink a lot of water, but I don’t think it’s enough for my activity level.

  5. I really like the convenience of having bottled water around so I can grab and go as I’m walking out the door or to take to work to drink during the day.

  6. yes, I drink enough water but I’m super picky and don’t like the taste of our water. We filter it but it still is not good so this would be great.

  7. I pretty much only drink water and I make sure I have it with me everywhere. I think I do okay most days, but I’m every once in a while I have days where I feel SO dehydrated.

  8. What’s up, this weekend is good in favor of me, for the reason that this time i am reading
this enormous educational piece of writing here at my residence.
