  1. For when you have strength training planned, and you can get away with less support, try a cute top with a built-in bra. Try this top from icyzone to show off your back muscles.
  2. I’m always a fan of a gym bag that has separate compartments for your shoes, and this gym bag from SKLYE is super versatile, because you can use it as a duffel OR a backback!
  3. For those of you who need a little help switching up your workout, or aren’t into fitness apps, try these old school exercise cards from NewMe Fitness. (Old school in that they are cards rather than on your phone, not old school exercises!) These cards are for workouts with dumbbells, but they also have versions for bodyweight, kettlebell, suspension systems, resistance bands, and more!
  4. For the ladies sick of trying to figure out which undies are the best for their workouts, did you know athletic apparel companies make underwear too? These Under Armour hipster undies are made from their Pure Stretch, and they are totally seamless, so you get more coverage than a thong without the visible panty line.
  5. If you’re a thong girl, though, these New Balance jersey thongs in a pack of 3 won’t show under your tights, and you’ll be comfortable throughout your workout.

  1. I *LOVE* Etsy for cute workout clothes. Just type ‘fitness tanks’ in the Etsy search bar, and you’ll be rewarded with lots of creative, functional workout tops. I love this “When in doubt just workout” tank that just looks like it’s super soft and comfortable.
  2. While ‘runch’ (running on your lunch break) sounds like such a great way to split up your day, unless you have enough time and somewhere to shower, you’ll most likely return to your office a sweaty mess. And sweaty messes don’t always smell so good. If you’re heading to the gym for strength training, or Pilates, though, you are probably going to be pretty presentable when you get back to work. Just use this Living Proof ‘Perfect Hair Day’ Dry Shampoo to make your hair look polished and smell fresh again.
  3. While you’re at it, keep these GoodWipes Deodorizing wipes on hand to keep your office mates (or anyone you have to encounter in your day) happy until you can get yourself to a real shower.
  4. One of my clients wears lifting gloves, and while I haven’t worn them before, the callouses on my palms are telling me it may be a good idea…I love that these Trideer Weight Lifting Gloves have little tabs on the middle fingers to make them easy to take off.
  5. If you are a gym lover, you’re probably on your way there anyway, but a reminder in the form of this cute keychain from Etsy won’t hurt!
  6. Your running shoes are not ideal for anything other than running, so if you’re spending lots of time working out with weights, cross training, or anything else, get a pair of sneakers to match your workout! Try these adidas Performance Gymbreaker Bounce B Cross-Trainer shoes, or…
  7. If you’re lifting heavy, you can’t go wrong with these low-profile Converse Chuck Taylors, or…
  8. Try these New Balance Wx577v4 Cross Trainer shoes for classes, strength, or cardio.

  1. Whether you just shower at the gym or if you swim as well, you’ll want a pair of flip flops so you don’t even have to think about what’s going on in your gym locker room showers. These Showaflops flip flops are antimicrobial, so you’ll never worry about gross shower germs again.
  2. Power through your workout with your favorite playlists, without your phone getting in the way. Try these bluetooth wireless headphones from HOPDAY. They’re noise cancelling, waterproof, and sweatproof, too!
  3. If you want a fitness tracker that works for your gym workouts (but you can also use it for GPS when you’re running), the Garmin vívoactive HR GPS Smart Watch seems like your best bet. I’ve only heard rave reviews from friends who swear by this watch.
  4. If you ice after your workout, you know that it makes a difference if you wait a while before applying your ice pack. Take this reusable compress from The Coldest Water with you to the gym to use immediately after your workout (the reviews all say it stays cold for a surprising amount of time after it’s taken out of the freezer). Bonus – you can also microwave this compress to use it as a heat pack!
  5. Sometimes I see my 6:30am boot camp participants grabbing a coffee before the workout, and I am all for it. There’s evidence that caffeine is an asset to your workout, and come on. It’s 6:30am. If you’re a caffeine-driven athlete, this coffee and squats mug from Etsy should already be in your cupboard!
