Well, we made it to Vermont in one piece! Tuesday (moving day) was a loooong day, with the movers turning up just before 8am to finish packing, then loading up the truck. We didn’t end up heading off until about 1pm, arriving at our new place around 8pm. With the two boys and the two cats loaded up for a seven hour car ride, it was surprisingly uneventful. I have to say, while I definitely felt a little sad to be saying goodbye to all our familiar places on the day we moved, as we got further away from the city, I felt like I was relaxing with each mile we drove. By the time we crossed the state line, I knew that feeling was relief of being out of the grind of the city.
That’s not to say I won’t miss things about New York – I know I will miss it – but that relief and lightness was a physical indication that we’d made the right decision. I promise I will have a post about the transition to Vermont living after Brooklyn life soon! But right now, I wanted to do a little BOSUstrong Cardio Week check in!
While this campaignΒ is sponsored by BOSUΒ all opinions are my own. I’m so happy to be a SweatPink ambassador for FitApproach and get involved in awesome brand campaigns like this one!
Just in case you’re behind, you can check out what being BOSUstrong means to me here. You can also follow along with the whole challenge via the FitApproach website. This is the end of the first week, but there are three more weeks, so lots of opportunity to get involved. Every week one lucky participant wins their own BOSU trainer, so you can jump in late and still be a winner!
Before I forget, I haveΒ a discount code for you to use: if you go to BOSU.com and enter the codeΒ BOSUSWEATPINK15, it gives youΒ the following offer: Purchase a BOSU Sport and get the BOSU Sport-Kids DVD for FREE. The same code also works for a free program download ofΒ BOSU Total Body Basics and BOSU Core Basics, with purchase of a BOSU Sport.
CARDIO WEEK began with #MountainClimberMondays!
Roman was so helpful as I did my mountain climbers in the only place I could find with allΒ the boxes and packed furniture – a little cardio amidst the chaos! Tuesday was #TempoTuesday – showing how you were getting your heart rate up. I’m not apologetic that it was caffeine jumpstarting me as I tried to keep the littles happy and entertained and as far from the moving process as I could most of the morning. I felt like I was on an espresso drip most of the day.
Wednesday was kind of a fail for me, but I’m choosing not to see it that way! While it was all about #BURPEES, I was busy squatting and deadlifting my way through a whole lot of unpacking. The BOSU made the move, but I didn’t have the floor space to break out the burpee action. Moving is definitely a workout, though, I can tell you that right now. Every night when I flop into bed I can feel every muscle in my body aching.
By Thursday I finally figured out I could just take my BOSU out onto our apartment building’s porch to get my workout done. I blame stress, lack of sleep and too much coffee. π So for #TotalBodyThursday I got my heart pumping with some skaters on the BOSU:
And today? Well, you’ll just have to check out my Instagram feed to see what I’m doing for #FreeFriday – however you want to get your BOSU cardio on!
And check back in on Monday when I reveal the next week’s worth of prompts for the BOSUstrong challenge for you to get involvedΒ on Instagram and Twitter. Remember, every week BOSU and FitApproach will be rewarding one participant with a BOSU trainer of their own, so get creative!
Happy Friday to you all! I am planning on more unpacking and arranging today and over the weekend, but I’m itching to get out for a run tomorrow. We’re also hoping to hit up a local food festival in Burlington on Sunday. Have a great weekend. π
What was your favorite cardio workout this week?
Any fun plans for the weekend?
So glad you made it to the mountains!! Happy unpacking…which is a total body workout BTW! I hope you get that run in so you can inhale tons of fresh mountain air. I’ll be sure to check your Insta feed later on… π

the air up here is RIDICULOUS. I hadn’t even thought about it but I swear it hit me almost immediately that it feels and smells different just to breathe!
Moving is such a great workout. I am super proud of you for getting workouts in amongst the chaos, I don’t think I could have done it. Have a great weekend

So many squats and deadlifts with boxes! Holy moly!!!
There are so many great exercise moves you can do on the Bosu ball. I like using that at the gym. Glad the move went well to Vermont! Moving can be so stressful and tiring.

Can’t wait to hear more about Vermont! I’m still catching up with the challenge! Moving can be so stressful. There was a huge snowstorm the day before we left and we had to get all our stuff to UPS to be shipped but the one on our block was closed because of the storm! We eventually found one that was open but I was having nightmares that we were not going to be boarding our flight. Glad you guys made it to Vermont in one piece.

Oh my goodness, our move was smooth sailing compared to that story! I can’t even imagine the stress!
