Elf 4 Health 2014

It’s Baa-aack! The Elf4Health 2014 Challenge

Last year, I participated in what turned out to be one of the most fun, rewarding experiences of the year. I’m talking about Elf4HealthΒ 2014, which is hosted by Lindsay of The Lean Green Bean and Elle from According to Elle. I signed up, thinking it would be fun, I’d meet some new-to-me bloggers and I’d end up with a purged closet, organized pantry and a sense that I’d done some good for my health & others over the holidays. It turned out to be all that and more. I remain very good friends with several of my fellow elves from last year. I was also privy to being part of one of the most supportive, nurturing, kind group of people I’ve met.

Want to join me again this year? C’mon, you get to be an ELF!!

Okay, here are the details: The challenge runs for 4 weeks, from this Monday November 24, through Sunday, December 21. There’s a new, mini challenge for every day. You can be paired with an elf to support each other, or, this year you have the option of being aΒ solo elf, which is great if you feel like maybe you’ll drop in and out of the planned challenges. It’s FREE and you have the chance to win lots of awesome prizes. There’s also a private Facebook group you can join for the challenge, which is an awesome source of support & endless ideas. (What springs to mind immediately was a spirited thread for the Eat The Rainbow challenge, in which M&Ms and red wine were both suggested by several elves as potential inclusions in said rainbow. And yes, I was one of those elves who took a photo of her wine glass… #notthisyear).

You can sign up here, but be aware that you need to get your butt into gear by this Friday if you want to take part – that’s the deadline to sign up! (If you miss it and you regret it, you can sign up later for the last two weeks of the challenge, too).

Here’s what you’d be taking part in:

  1. I almost clicked sign-up but then I remembered my recent post and the fact that I have to scale back. I know I would do a half-way job at best if I tried to do this and it would end up causing me stress. I will just enjoy following along with you and the other elves!!!

    1. It’s a fun one to follow on instagram and twitter! Just pick a few challenges to try if they sound up your alley. πŸ™‚

    1. You know, that did occur to me, too! But I loved it so much, I didn’t want to win & run, ha ha! We’re coming up on the no makeup challenge which you totally rocked last year – that was my favorite challenge day.

  2. I am SO glad I saw this in my email today! I was wondering if it was happening with baby Chase arriving! Yahoo!! I am so glad that I met you through this challenge last year, and I was THRILLED that you won! You were an amazing elf to everyone πŸ™‚
Happy Elfing! And such cute pics of you as an elf!! Hehe πŸ™‚ Love it!

    1. You were one of my favorite elves, Esther! πŸ™‚ I don’t know how Lindsay is doing it all with baby Chase in the picture now! She’s written a post before on how she stays organized and after reading it, I was still left wondering, but HOW does she make it all happen?? She’s a machine! πŸ˜‰

    1. It’s so fun – even if you’re not officially in, it’s easy to follow along on instagram or twitter and join in some of the challenges. I like that it’s only 4 weeks and ends before Christmas/New Year.

    1. You should start your own challenge, Annie!! That ways you HAVE to do it because you’re in charge! πŸ˜‰ I bet you’d get a lot of participants, too.
